Me and my colleges at Great Works made a flash site to present the information about the event in a appealing and fashionable way.
As a background we had a fullbrowser video of the streets of Japan, that had been shoot and edited especially for this site. The day after the opening we updated the site with a gallery, filled with photos of the people who had been there.

With the campaign Citybreak they are promoting the Capital Stockholm, and the harbor city Gothenburg.

The campaign had been running for close to a year when I got the assignment to implement a new design and additional functionality.

Since i inherited this ongoing project I spent a lot of time going through what had already been done and built upon that. Through the process I picked up a lot of do’s and don’ts when it comes to building a platform like this one.

The CMS behind the site is WordPress and features three languages that can all be edited through the admin.

I made the four issues between August and November and my job was to turn the desgin of Martin Löfqvist into html/css.

Every issue had a uniqe design which ment creating static pages from scratch every month.

One exeption however was the Agust issue, in which JC was reporting live from the Way Out West festival. For this I made a WordPress blog to make it easy for them to post new content during the two days the festival was going on.

We got a brief from Zara to to make a nice presentation of when and in what stores the event would take place. The end result was a clean layout where the visitor could browse the information depending on what country they where living in.

I was in charge of the flash production, making a dynamic framework that could easily be edited through XML.

To create some social media buzz we created a Facebook application in flash. Through the application you can connect to Facebook and select the friends you’d like to join you on the road. Once you’re done you can watch an interactive video where you and your friends are included.
Afterward you can share it to your Facebook Wall for everyone to see.

I made the design and animation storyboard for this application, under the supervision of Art Director Sonia Hernando.

We went for a prison theme, since Hyper Island was located in an old prison at the time. The visitors cold navigate through different cell blocks of a prison made in 3D. In the cell blocks you could find the students, information about them and see who was still available for an internship.

As the Lead Developer I was responsible of dividing the work between 8 developers, and keeping a close contact with the design team.

The class was divided in groups of 5 that where given different technologies to experiment with.
My group got a RF-ID kit, complete with RF-ID tags and a scanner to read the tags. At first we had no idea what it was and even less what you could do with it.

After some research we came up with the idea of building a game.

The game takes place in space and challenges you to fill black holes by repeat a series of symbols. The symbols are displayed by a projector, then it’s up to you to swipe the symbols in front of you in the same order. The difficulty progresses adding an extra symbol after each level.

I had a creative/conceptual role in this project and was working on the flash production together with Julius Mattsson.
